Rwy'n Gydymaith Ymchwil yn yr Ysgol Peirianneg, Prifysgol Caerdydd, gydag arbenigedd mewn dylunio ac optimeiddio systemau trosglwyddo gwres ac ynni. Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ymchwilio i systemau pwmp gwres integredig storio thermol, dynameg hylif cyfrifiadol (CFD), aerodynameg, a phynciau sy'n gysylltiedig â rheoli thermol. Ar hyn o bryd, rydw i'n rhan o'r prosiect 'Flex-Cool-Store', gan archwilio'r defnydd o bympiau gwres cildroadwy ar gyfer gofynion oeri yn y dyfodol a rôl storio wrth wella hyblygrwydd y system. Rwyf hefyd yn gweithio ar fodelu CFD o unedau storio ynni thermol. Yn flaenorol, arweiniais brosiectau a ariannwyd gan ddiwydiant ym Mhrifysgol Genedlaethol Kyungpook, gan optimeiddio systemau ar gyfer LG Electronics, Samsung, a Hyundai Motors. Mae gen i PhD mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol, lle roeddwn i'n arbenigo mewn optimeiddio dylunio aerodynamig o dyrbinau gwynt awyr bywiog.

Bywgraffiad
Mae Dr Saleem yn Gydymaith Ymchwil yn yr Ysgol Peirianneg, Prifysgol Caerdydd, ers mis Mawrth 2022. Mae ei ddiddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys dylunio ac optimeiddio systemau trosglwyddo gwres ac ynni, gyda ffocws ar ddeinameg hylif cyfrifiadol (CFD), aerodynameg, rheoli thermol, a phynciau sy'n gysylltiedig ag ynni. Mae ganddo arbenigedd helaeth mewn technegau ymchwil arbrofol a rhifiadol.
Ar hyn o bryd, mae Dr. Saleem yn gweithio yn CIREGS, lle mae'n cyfrannu at y prosiect amlddisgyblaethol 'Flex-Cool-Store'. Mae ei waith yn cynnwys ymchwilio i'r defnydd o systemau gwresogi unigol, fel pympiau gwres cildroadwy, i ddarparu gwasanaethau oeri gan ragweld gofynion oeri cynyddol yn y dyfodol. Mae hefyd yn archwilio rôl storio wrth wella perfformiad systemau oeri i gynnig gwasanaethau hyblygrwydd, megis lleihau galw brig a symud llwythi. Ochr yn ochr, Dr. Saleem yn cymryd rhan mewn modelu CFD tri dimensiwn dros dro o brosesau codi tâl a rhyddhau uned storio ynni thermol cudd gwres a tanc storio dŵr poeth synhwyrol sy'n seiliedig ar wres.
Yn flaenorol, bu Dr. Saleem yn Ymchwilydd Ôl-ddoethurol yn y Sefydliad Dylunio a Thechnoleg Peirianneg, Prifysgol Genedlaethol Kyungpook, De Korea, o fis Medi 2020 i fis Chwefror 2022. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn, arweiniodd brosiect a ariannwyd gan y diwydiant gan LG Electronics, gan ganolbwyntio ar optimeiddio systemau gwresogyddion dŵr pwmp gwres (HPWH) i wella effeithlonrwydd thermol. Cyfrannodd hefyd at brosiect a ariennir gan Samsung gyda'r nod o optimeiddio perfformiad gwisgwr awyr i wella llif aer o fewn y siambr ddillad. Yn ogystal, arweiniodd brosiect Hyundai Motors a ariannwyd gan Hyundai Motors a oedd yn canolbwyntio ar optimeiddio dosbarthiad llif olew yng nghynulliad modur olwyn cerbydau trydan i wella perfformiad thermol.
Cafodd Dr. Saleem ei PhD mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol o Brifysgol Genedlaethol Kyungpook, De Corea, ym mis Awst 2020. Roedd ei ymchwil doethurol yn canolbwyntio ar wella perfformiad technoleg tyrbin gwynt awyr bywiog trwy optimeiddio dylunio aerodynamig.
