Mae Dr Vasco Sanchez Rodrigues yn Athro Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi Cynaliadwy ac mae'n gweithredu fel Pennaeth yr Adran Rheoli Logisteg a Gweithrediadau yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd (Prifysgol Caerdydd). Mae Vasco hefyd yn Gadeirydd Fforwm Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Logisteg a Noddir gan y Sefydliad Siartredig Logisteg a Thrafnidiaeth.

Mae Vasco yn weithiwr proffesiynol cadwyn gyflenwi a logisteg hynod weithgar sydd â hanes sefydledig o arwain prosiectau ymchwil gymhwysol a gweithio'n agos gyda sefydliadau yn y sectorau manwerthu, bwyd a diodydd yn y DU, a logisteg Ewropeaidd.

Mae Vasco wedi dal prif rolau ymchwilydd mewn sawl prosiect ymchwil, gan gynnwys y Prosiect Cydweithredu ar gyfer Twf (Cyd-dwf), arloesi Lean Effectiveness Green Operations (iLEGO), prosiectau ymchwil gwastraff bwyd a ariennir gan Ocado a GiroZero, gan ddod ag arian allanol cyfunol o £3.5 miliwn i Brifysgol Caerdydd ers 2018 gan UK BEIS/FCDO, Innovate UK, Cyngor Ymchwil y Gwyddorau Ffisegol Peirianneg, WEFO, Llywodraeth Cymru ac Ocado.

Yn ddiweddar, arweiniodd Vasco ddatblygiad cwrs hyfforddiant addysg weithredol mewn cadwyn gyflenwi a rhagoriaeth logisteg a gyflwynwyd i Ocado.

Mae Vasco yn cyhoeddi'n weithredol mewn prif gylchgronau academaidd rhyngwladol ac mae'n dal rolau arweinyddiaeth academaidd allanol eraill, h.y., aelod bwrdd golygyddol Adnoddau Cadwraeth ac Ailgylchu, ac athrawon gwadd yn Universidad del Desarrollo ac Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso (Chile) ac Universidad de Queensland (Awstralia).

Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn goruchwylio PhD yn y cwestiynau ymchwil amserol isod.

1) Sut y gall modelau economi gylchol wella perfformiad cynaliadwy cadwyni cyflenwi?

2) Sut y gall modelau economi a rennir alluogi cynhyrchiant, perfformiad amgylcheddol a gwytnwch mentrau canolig, bach a micro?

3) Sut y gall cadwyni cyflenwi bwyd fod yn fwy parod ac yn fwy ymatebol i ddigwyddiadau swyn du fel Rhyfel yr Wcrain, COVID-19 a'r argyfwng costau byw?

4) Sut y gellir dylunio a rhedeg cadwyn gyflenwi bwyd at y diben o leihau a lliniaru effeithiau economaidd, amgylcheddol a chymdeithasol uniongyrchol gwastraff bwyd?

5) Sut y gellir mesur a lleihau ôl troed carbon mewn rhwydweithiau logisteg ar draws dulliau trafnidiaeth ffyrdd, rheilffyrdd a dŵr?

Rwyf hefyd yn awyddus iawn i oruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD sy'n canolbwyntio ar feysydd fel cynaliadwyedd yng nghyd-destun cadwyni cyflenwi a logisteg, modelau busnes cydweithredol, economi gylchol a rheoli risg cadwyn bach.
