I am a lecture in Primary Care and Public Health, I assess and supervisor students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I am a module lead and teach on the level 7 Specialist Practice Qualification Community Health Studies Programme. My keen interest are Primary Care, Dementia, End of Life Care, clinical supervision and Health Promotion. I currently work part-time as I am a PhD student funded by RCBC Wales researching decision making and end of life care for patients with dementia.
My clinical background is district nursing within primary care.

Rwyf wedi llwyddo i ennill cymrodoriaeth PhD a roddwyd gan CBSRhC rhwng Ionawr 2021 a Mehefin 2026. Teitl fy nhraethawd ymchwil yw Gofalu am bobl â dementia ar ddiwedd oes: proses gwneud penderfyniadau clinigol gweithwyr gofal iechyd proffesiynol o fewn gofal sylfaenol.
Rwyf hefyd wedi llwyddo i wneud cais am brosiect Partneriaeth Strategol mewn Arloesi a Datblygu Gofal Iechyd ar sail Tystiolaeth (SPIDER) yn y Weriniaeth Tsiec ym mis Tachwedd 2019. Roedd hyn trwy Sefydliad Joanna Briggs ac roedd yn cynnwys cwrs cymrodoriaeth glinigol lle gweithredais brosiect o fewn ymarfer clinigol ar oruchwyliaeth glinigol.

Within my role at the University I work with both undergraduate student nurses, postgraduate and masters’ level students in nursing and other disciplines.
Teaching Experience
- Teaching and running of the Postgraduate community health studies programme (Specialist Practice Qualification) (v100)
- Module lead and teach on the Contemporary Issues in District and Practice Nursing including V100 prescribing (level 7 postgraduate module attached to the SPQ) and co-lead and teach on the Research Methods and Health Improvement in Community Nursing (level 7 postgraduate module).
- Teaching, marking and supervision responsibilities on the postgraduate level 7 Leadership module (attached to the SPQ programme and wider postgraduate programmes)
- Teaching, supervision and marking responsibilities on the Return to Practice programme within the School of Healthcare Science
- Teach on a variety of undergraduate modules ranging from level 4-6
- Clinical skills – I teach on various subjects including, manual handling, Basic Life Support, catheterisation, wound care, venepuncture and canulation and PEG care to undergraduate students.
- I am involved in developing and implementing the primary care content that runs throughout the undergraduate curriculum.
- Previously in my job role I carried out UG dissertation supervision and marking, but this has been put on hold due to workload and undertaking my PhD.

I am a lecturer in Primary Care/Public Health Nursing at the School of Healthcare Sciences. I started this post in 2018, prior to this I worked as a Team Leader within Primary Care. I have an extensive background in Community nursing where I worked clinically and contributed to Primary care and Community nurse education.
After completing the Speciliast Practice Qulaitifcation in Community Health Studies in June 2018 I applied and completed an MSc in Community Health Studies in 2019 which sparked my interest in research. Since then I have been successful in achieving a PhD fellowship granted by RCBC Wales from January 2021 – June 2026. The title of my thesis is Caring for people with dementia at end of life: The clinical decision-making process of healthcare professionals within primary care. I am completing this part-time alongside my lecturing role
