Mae fy ymchwil yn eistedd rhwng ecoleg foleciwlaidd a bioleg gadwraeth gyda ffocws penodol ar ddefnyddio offer sy'n seiliedig ar DNA i ddeall rhyngweithiadau rhywogaethau, ecoleg dietegol, ac amrywiad demograffig. Gan dynnu ar ddulliau dilyniannu a metabarcodio trwybwn uchel, rwy'n ymchwilio i sut mae organebau yn rhyngweithio o fewn eu hecosystemau - yn enwedig sut mae diet yn amrywio mewn gofod, amser, ac ar draws dosbarthiadau demograffig - a sut mae'r ddeinameg hyn yn ymwneud â chwestiynau sy'n berthnasol i gadwraeth.
Yn gyffredinol, mae fy ymchwil wedi'i ysgogi gan awydd i (1) datblygu a chymhwyso offer moleciwlaidd i ateb cwestiynau ecolegol a chadwraeth, (2) deall yn well sut mae dietau rhywogaethau yn adlewyrchu ac yn ymateb i newid amgylcheddol, a (3) cyfieithu mewnwelediadau ecolegol i strategaethau cadwraeth a monitro gweithredadwy.
