Fy mhrif feysydd ymchwil yw gofal cymdeithasol, anabledd a hawliau dynol, gan ganolbwyntio ar sut mae'r gyfraith yn gweithio mewn sefyllfaoedd 'byd go iawn', gan effeithio'n uniongyrchol ar fywydau pobl. Mae fy ngwaith ar ofal cymdeithasol yn ymestyn ar draws holl genhedloedd y DU ac yn cwmpasu sawl agwedd gan gynnwys profiadau'r rhai sy'n tynnu ar ofal, materion sy'n ymwneud â'r gweithlu, a rheoleiddio. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb arbennig mewn gofal cymdeithasol mewn perthynas â phobl anabl o oedran gweithio a gweithrediad hawliau dynol anabledd rhyngwladol. Rwy'n ymchwilydd cymdeithasol-gyfreithiol a rhyngddisgyblaethol, gyda diddordeb arbennig yn sut mae iaith, y gyfraith a pholisi yn siapio hunaniaethau. Rwy'n defnyddio dulliau ymchwil athrawiaethol ac ansoddol, gan gynnwys dadansoddi testun a chyfweliadau. Rwy'n aelod academaidd o Ganolfan Llywodraethiant Cymru a'r Ganolfan Ymchwil Gofal Cymdeithasol i Oedolion.
Cefais fy PhD yn 2019. Mae fy nhraethawd ymchwil yn archwilio sut mae'r cysyniad o fyw'n annibynnol a ddyfeisiwyd gan fudiad pobl anabl wedi cael ei amsugno a'i ddefnyddio yng nghyfraith polisi a gofal cymdeithasol Cymru. Rwy'n gyn-gyfreithiwr ac yn gweithio yn y meysydd rheoleiddio ac yswiriant cyn gadael y practis i ymgymryd â'm PhD. Rwyf hefyd wedi gweithio mewn rolau rheoli ar gyfer sefydliadau anllywodraethol mawr.
Rwy'n arweinydd y modiwl ar gyfer y modiwl LLB Tort Law ac yn addysgu ar y modiwl LLB Law and Poverty. Rwyf hefyd wedi dysgu ar y modiwlau LLB Equity & Trusts and Legal Foundations a'r modiwlau LLM Themes in Socio-Legal Research, Social Care Rights and the Law and International Human Rights Disability Law.
