Ymchwil
Yn fras, mae gen i ddiddordeb yn y ffordd rydyn ni'n defnyddio iaith i wneud synnwyr o'n profiad a llwyddo i gyfathrebu'n effeithiol er gwaethaf anawsterau, yn enwedig fel y'i cymhwysir i gyfathrebu iechyd. Rwy'n cyfuno dadansoddiad ansoddol â dulliau ieithyddiaeth corpws.
Yn fwy penodol, mae hyn yn cynnwys:
- Cyfathrebu iechyd: cynrychioliadau o ADHD mewn gwahanol sgyrsiau sefydliadol a lleyg, cyfathrebu salwch ac adferiad, cyfathrebu risgiau iechyd a derbyn canllawiau iechyd
- Diddordebau ieithyddiaeth: mynegiant o werthuso ac emosiwn, iaith ffigurol, ieithyddiaeth swyddogaethol systemig
Fel Cymrawd Ymchwil (UoN), gweithiais ar wahanol brosiectau ymchwil ar gyfathrebu iechyd (Trafodaethau Coronafeirws, PI: Svenja Adolphs; Nofio Gwyllt a Mannau Glas, PI: Svenja Adolphs). Ym Mhrifysgol Reading roeddwn yn rhan o'r prosiect ymchwil rhyngddisgyblaethol Law and Corpus Linguistics (PI: Nat Hansen).
Addysgu
Rwy'n addysgu ar fodiwlau dadansoddi sgyrsiau ac ieithoedd gan gynnwys Trafodaeth a Rhyngweithio Cymdeithasol, Dysgu Iaith, Iaith a Rhywedd, Disgwrs Cyhoeddus a Phroffesiynol.
Mewn penodiadau blaenorol, rwyf wedi addysgu ar draws amrywiaeth o fodiwlau ieithyddiaeth (BA a graddau MA) gan gynnwys Iaith a Ffeministiaeth (UoN), Iaith a Chymdeithas (UoN), Trafodaethau Iechyd a Gwaith (UoN), Rhyw Iaith a Rhywioldeb (UoN), Dulliau Ymchwil: Ieithyddiaeth Corpus (UoN), Astudio Iaith (UoN), Hanfodion y Saesneg (UoN), Cysyniadau Craidd mewn Dadansoddi Trafodaethau (UoN, ar-lein), Diwylliant a Chyfathrebu (UoN, UoN, ar-lein), Discourse and Language Teaching (Roehampton), Discourse and Pragmatics (Roehampton), Semanteg (Roehampton), Athroniaeth Iaith (Roehampton), Iaith a Phŵer (UEA), Diwylliant Iaith a Chymdeithas (MLC, King's).
Fel athro Sbaeneg, rwyf wedi dysgu ar draws lefelau A1-C1 fel rhan o raglenni BA, modiwlau iaith-i-bawb, cyrsiau byr, a Sbaeneg at ddibenion penodol (busnes a meddygaeth).
