Prif feysydd fy ymchwil yw Rhamantiaeth (yn enwedig y berthynas rhwng llenyddiaeth a gwleidyddiaeth yn oes y Chwyldro Ffrengig) a diwylliannau materol ehangach y cyfnod Rhamantaidd; Hanesyddiaeth Ramantaidd a methodolegau Astudiaethau Rhamantaidd (gan gynnwys y 'gwrthffeithiol' a dulliau beirniadol-greadigol); Rhamantiaeth a daearyddiaeth/cartograffeg; Llenyddiaeth Seasneg Cymru; barddoniaeth yr ugeinfed ganrif (Cymraeg a Seasneg); ac Ysgrifennu Creadigol (yn enwedig barddoniaeth).
Rwy'n cyd-ysgrifennu cyfrol olaf The Oxford Literary History of Wales, fel rhan o gyfres yr wyf yn Olygydd Cyffredinol arni. Ymhlith fy ngyhoeddiadau diweddar mae erthyglau ar S. T. Coleridge a thrawma ac ar John Keats a'r ddarfodedigaeth; y casgliad golygedig Counterfactual Romanticism (Gwasg Prifysgol Manceinion, 2019); y casgliad cyd-olygedig Romantic Cartographies: Mapping, Literature, Culture, 1789-1832 (Gwasg Prifysgol Caergrawnt, 2020); a'r casgliad Roald Dahl: Wales of the Unexpected (Gwasg Prifysgol Cymru, 2016). Rwy'n cwblhau erthyglau ar Thomas De Quincey, ac ar Dylan Thomas a gweddi.
Mae fy ngwaith creadigol yn cynnwys y cyfrolau canlynol o farddoniaeth: Suit of Lights (Seren, 2009), Witch (Seren, 2012), Alabaster Girls (Rack Press, 2015), Judas (Seren, 2015), Docklands (Seren, 2019), Viva Bartali! Rwy'n cwblhau llyfr o'r enw The Ground, sy'n archwilio hanes cydblethedig pum cae cyfagos ym Mro Morgannwg, ynghyd â chyfrol o farddoniaeth yn dwyn y teitl London Horses.

Addysgu
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n Brofost a Dirprwy Is-Ganghellor ac felly mae fy amser addysgu yn gyfyngedig, ond mae fy mhortffolio yn cynnwys Ramantiaeth, Llenyddiaeth Saesneg Cymru ac Ysgrifennu Creadigol. Rwy'n parhau i oruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD ac yn croesawu ceisiadau yn y meysydd uchod.
Bywgraffiad
Ar hyn o bryd fi yw Profost a Dirprwy Is-Ganghellor y sefydliad. Ymunais ag Ysgol Saesneg, Cyfathrebu ac Athroniaeth y Brifysgol yn 2013 o Brifysgol Aberystwyth, lle roeddwn yn Bennaeth yr Adran Saesneg ac Ysgrifennu Creadigol a deiliad Cadair Rendel yn Saesneg. Gwasanaethais fel Pennaeth yr Ysgol Saesneg, Cyfathrebu ac Athroniaeth rhwng 2014 a 2018. Y flwyddyn honno fe'm penodwyd yn Rhag Is-Ganghellor a Phennaeth Coleg y Celfyddydau, y Dyniaethau a'r Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol cyn imi ymgymryd yn 2021 a'm swydd bresennol.
Gwasanaethais fel Cadeirydd Llenyddiaeth Cymru, un o gwmnïau cenedlaethol Cymru, rhwng 2012 a 2018, ac o 2015 i 2018 fi oedd Cadeirydd Bwrdd Gwasg Prifysgol Caerdydd.
