Rwy'n ddarlithydd ac yn Diwtor Blwyddyn 1 EEE ac IEN ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae fy modiwlau a addysgir ar hyn o bryd yn canolbwyntio ar ddadansoddi rhwydwaith cylchedau, electroneg ddigidol a dylunio ac ymarfer cymhwysol peirianneg.
Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar brosiectau cymhwysol amlddisgyblaethol gan gynnwys peirianneg drydanol, peirianneg fecanyddol, cemeg a ffiseg. Rwy'n cynnal datblygiad ymchwil wrth gymhwyso a nodweddu deunyddiau newydd ar gyfer systemau ynni trydanol, deunyddiau magnetig ac effeithiau mellt yn y Sefydliad Ymchwil Systemau Ynni.
Mae gen i radd mewn peirianneg drydanol ac electronig a doethuriaeth mewn peirianneg drydanol foltedd uchel. Mae gen i brofiad ymchwil mewn peirianneg foltedd uchel, magneteg ac astudio ffenomenau mellt gan weithio gyda phartneriaid prosiect diwydiannol fel y Grid Cenedlaethol, Rolls Royce, Western Power Distribution, UK Power Networks a Scottish and Southern Electric.
Fy ymchwil
Mae fy ngwaith ymchwil yn gysylltiedig â'r Ganolfan Ymchwil Peirianneg Foltedd Uchel Uwch, labordy Mellt a'r Grŵp Ymchwil Deunyddiau a Chymwysiadau Magneteg. Mae gen i brofiad o ddatblygiadau labordy ar raddfa fawr, dylunio a chynnal prosiectau peilot arbrofol. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn deunyddiau yn y dyfodol a fydd yn helpu i leihau allyriadau carbon ac effaith amgylcheddol i gyrraedd targedau sero net a gwella effeithlonrwydd y rhwydweithiau cynhyrchu pŵer, trosglwyddo a dosbarthu trydan. Cyn hynny, roeddwn yn aelod o weithgor Safonau Cigre Rhyngwladol ar gyfer nwyon inswleiddio amgen ar gyfer rhwydweithiau ynni foltedd uchel. Ar hyn o bryd mae fy ymchwil wedi cynhyrchu dros 20 o gyhoeddiadau cyfnodolion, papurau cynhadledd ac erthyglau ymchwil.
