Cyn ei swydd bresennol, bu'n gwasanaethu fel uwch gymrawd ymchwil a darlithydd rhan-amser yn Ysgol Fusnes Southampton ers 2021. Gyda phrofiad ymchwil helaeth, mae hi'n gweithio gyda manwerthwyr mawr ac wedi arwain nifer o brosiectau rhyngddisgyblaethol sy'n rhychwantu gwahanol feysydd, gan gynnwys cyllid, manwerthu omnichannel, busnes rhyngwladol, dychwelyd cynnyrch, dychwelyd twyllodrus, ymddygiad cwsmeriaid, gweithrediadau cadwyn gyflenwi, cyfathrebu hinsawdd/risg, ac economi gylchol.
Enillodd Danni ei doethuriaeth o Ysgol Fusnes Southampton, a chwblhawyd ei thesis PhD, o'r enw 'Understanding and Improving How Communication Formats Influence Lay Comprehension of Financial Information,' o fewn Grŵp y Ganolfan Ymchwil Risg.
Mae ganddi BSc (Dosbarth Cyntaf) mewn Cyfrifeg a Chyllid o Brifysgol Leeds, yn ogystal ag MSc mewn Cyfrifeg a Chyllid o Brifysgol Warwick.
Mae Danni hefyd yn cael ei chydnabod fel Cymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch (FHEA) ac mae ganddi y Dystysgrif Ôl-raddedig mewn Ymarfer Academaidd (PGCAP), sy'n tanlinellu ei hymrwymiad i ragoriaeth mewn addysg uwch.

Mae gan Danni ddiddordebau ymchwil amrywiol sy'n canolbwyntio ar gadwyni gwerth cynaliadwy, yr Economi Gylchol, a gwneud penderfyniadau unigol. Mae ei hymchwil yn canolbwyntio'n bennaf ar ddau faes: (1) rheoli enillion cynnyrch yn strategol yn y diwydiant manwerthu a (2) archwilio sut y gellir cyflwyno gwybodaeth gymhleth yn effeithiol i ddylanwadu ar ddealltwriaeth unigolion a meithrin ymddygiad cyfrifol.
Mae ei phrosiectau ymchwil wedi meithrin cydweithrediad â chydweithwyr o ddisgyblaethau academaidd amrywiol, ymchwilwyr allanol, ac arbenigwyr diwydiant yn y sector manwerthu, yn y DU ac yn rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys yng Ngogledd America a Tsieina.
