'Palliative Care is a multi-professional therapeutic approach for all populations with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. The goal is to prevent and actively address any suffering, symptoms and serious illness burden, often from the time of diagnosis onward.'

Biography
Bio: Prof. Mark Taubert is a hospital consultant & clinical director at Velindre University NHS Trust. Academic activities at Cardiff University include advance care planning and new media in medical settings. He is the founder of TalkCPR.com and chairs the national Future Care Planning strategy group for the NHS Wales Executive. He has delivered a Ted Talk on palliative care and writes for international news outlets like the Washington Post and the Guardian. In 2023 he was voted onto the executive board of directors of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) and is EAPC Vice-President until 2027.
