Overview
My journey began in 2020 when I joined Cardiff University to pursue a BSc in Physics, which included a professional placement at VMware. After completing my undergraduate degree, I advanced to the MSc in Compound Semiconductor Electronics through the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training. My MSc research focused on the fabrication of indium phosphide (InP) quantum dot (QD) memristors and thin-film transistors (TFTs), encompassing the full fabrication spectrum from material synthesis and device processing to characterisation.
I am now undertaking a PhD investigating neuromorphic chips based on InP quantum dots, aimed at enabling real-time information processing for event-based camera systems. The project is supervised by Dr Bo Hou (Physics) and Dr Ze Ji (Engineering) at Cardiff University, in collaboration with Dr Huanqing Ye at the University of Manchester, and an industrial supervision provided by Spirent Communications plc.
