Overview
I am currently a research student at JOMEC. Since 2014, I have worked as a multi-disciplinary content editor and writer specialising in digital content creation, strategy, and brand storytelling.
My PhD focuses on the platformisation of politics and aims to explore how digital platforms (and their algorithms) are shaping political engagement and democratic participation in Wales.
My academic interests focus on the intersection of social media, political communication, and democratic processes.
Biography
Since 2014, I’ve held a variety of roles at some of the UK’s top content and advertising agencies, including Sunday, Publicis London and Cedar Communications. Before that, I cut my teeth in local journalism in Wales as a junior reporter.
I’ve created digital content and strategies for national brands like Tesco and British Airways, universities like LSE, and government agencies, including Creative Wales (Welsh Gov).
Between 2022 and 2024, I taught on the MA Marketing and Digital Communications course at Falmouth University. I was an online tutor on the Creative Digital Storytelling module, and later guided students through their dissertations as an associate lecturer.
In 2021, I completed my MA in Political Communication at Cardiff, where I earned a distinction for my dissertation on platform governance, misinformation and social media regulation.
