Overview
I am a researcher investigating the unintended consequences of sustainable supply chain management. I am interested in how the goods and services which support modern society can be provided without negative ecological, social, or economic impacts.
My work is multi-disciplinary and I hold degrees in Physics with Astrophysics, Aeronautical Engineering, International Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and Social Science Research Methods.
Prior to joining academia, I spent a decade in the manufacturing industry holding various roles in the manufacture of telecommunications satellites, medical devices, and renewable energy products. Within academia, I previously worked as a research fellow on the ASTUTE 2020 (Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing Technologies) programme researching advanced manufacturing systems in collaboration with manufacturing firms in East Wales as well as the VISTA (Valleys Innovation Showcase for Technological Advancement) programme in Blaenau Gwent.
I sit on the Senedd (Welsh Parliament) Cross-Party Group on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM). I am an external examiner at Dublin Business School.

Research
My research focusses on unintended consequences that result from actions taken to improve sustainability within supply chains. It explores the nature of these unintended consequences and their causes, within a range of industries.
Thesis
Unintended Consequences in Sustainable Supply Chain Management
