Biography
I am a first year PhD student in the School of History, Archaeology and Religion, undertaking a research on early dog domestication and their cohabitation with early humans. My supervisors are Professor Richard Madgwick and Dr. Julia Best.
Previously I completed a Masters degree at UCL where I conducted research on dog like species and their co-occurence with hominins between 60-25kya. During the completion of my masters I volunteered with the British Museum, helping with archival of their palaolithic material and invited to multiple excavation projects (Barnham 2024, 2025; Devereux’s Pit 2025). I have also conducted fieldwork on Jersey and helped with archival of palaeolithic animal bone material for Jersey Heritage under the Ice Age Island Project. I also attended the UCL fieldschool of Stonehenge and Preseli Hills, excavating and surveying the area to understand the origin of Stonehenge's bluestone.
I began my acamedic carrer at the University of North Texas, completeing a bachelors in Integrative Studies, studying Anthropology, Biology and Geology. I also completed an Archaeology minor through the term abroad exchange program, studying at the University of Birmingham (2021) and participating in their field school. During my bachelors I was apart of student activities and conducted research with PHAGES lab program.
