ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: A STUDY ON INFRASTRUCTURAL COURT ACCESSIBILITY IN TAMIL NADU
My thesis aims to find out the effectiveness of infrastructural access to courts for persons with disabilities in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The thesis will include the analysis of access to justice under Indian disability law (Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016) along with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), International Principles and Guidelines on Access to Justice for Persons with Disabilities by the United Nations Human Rights Special Procedures and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). More weightage will be given to empirical research in the thesis, as there is a gap in the literature on "infrastructural court accessibility for persons with disabilities".
