Overview
Matt (Yongdong) joined the Welsh School of Architecture as a full-time PGR student in October 2023. Prior to this, he earned a Master's degree in Urban Design from Cardiff University in 2021, a Master's degree in Architecture from Chongqing University in 2022, and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Inner Mongolia University of Technology in 2019. Additionally, during his studies, Matt also conducted exchange programs in architecture and urban design at the University of La Coruna in Spain and Mie University in Japan.
Before joining WSA, Matt worked as a designer at Tsinghua Tongheng Planning and Design Institute in Beijing, China. He contributed to various projects, including lighting planning in Guangzhou, lighting landscape design in Xi'an High-tech Zone, and lighting planning in Abu Dhabi.
Currently, Matt's research primarily focuses on exploring the relationship between street art and urbanism and its applications.
