Overview

I am a Doctoral Researcher, undertaking a PhD in Environmental Zoonotic Disease & One Health Microbiology within the Cardiff School of Biosciences' Microbiomes, Microbes, and Informatics (MMI) research group.

Driven by the principles of the One Health framework, my research interests are centred around the impact of anthropogenic disturbance, including climate change, on ecosystem health, and how this may alter the landscape epidemiology and subsequent transmission risk of environmental (zoonotic) diseases.

My PhD research is fully funded via the (UKRI) NERC GW4+ Doctoral Landscape Training Partnership. I am based at Cardiff University with additional co-supervision from the Bristol Veterinary School (University of Bristol).

I hold a Master of Research degree in Biodiversity and Ecosystems and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Biology with a Year in Industry. Additionally, I possess previous applied experience in relevant roles, such as a research laboratory technician and a higher education teaching assistant/demonstrator.
