Overview
Since April 2024, I am a post-graduate researcher in English Literature at Cardiff University.
Research
My current doctoral research explores the intersection of gender, modernism, and environmental concerns. It focuses on how Virginia Woolf, D.H. Lawrence, and Zora Neale Hurston use nature as an active, collaborative presence in their works. I investigate how modernist and Harlem Renaissance themes interact and inform one another, particularly in their ecological and ecofeminist approaches. Bridging historical ecological theories with contemporary insights, my research emphasises the interconnectedness of all life forms, challenging hierarchical structures that marginalise both women and the environment. This study aims to contribute to discussions on gender equality, environmental sustainability, and justice within modernist literary discourse.
