Transforming Lithium Mining Waste into Next-Generation Low-Carbon Cements

As part of project LITHICRETE my research aims to transform biproducts of lithium mining into supplementary materials that can be incorporated into cement. This offers a chance to lower carbon emissions from cement manufacturing and provide an alternative to potentially harmful landfill disposal of mining waste.

Funding sources

The LITHICRETE™ project is funded by UKRI-EPSRC (grant number 209, 2025 – 2028)
