Overview
I am a Research Assistant and PhD student within the Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics. My research focuses on the impact of perimenopause on the risk of psychiatric disorders. Specifically, I use large-scale databases and bioinformatic methods to explore associations between the timing of reproductive ageing and the risk of onset or recurrence of severe mental illness. Through analysing these data, I aim to improve our understanding of why some women experience psychiatric episodes during perimenopause.
