Overview
My doctoral research combines my passion for biomedical engineering with one of my favourite pastime horse riding. Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and experimental testing, I investigate the biomechanics of real-life horse-riding accidents to contribute data-driven insights into injury mechanisms. The goal of my work is to enhance equestrian safety through improved helmet design, with a particular focus on increasing crush resistance.
