Overview
Seyda is a doctoral researcher at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University. Her research examines spatial inequalities in access to urban green spaces and interrogates the social, economic, and political processes underlying these disparities. Through GIS-based spatial analysis and multi-scalar evaluation, she tackles the distributional, recognitional, and procedural dimensions of environmental justice in an integrated manner. Her research focuses particularly on green spaces in vulnerable neighbourhoods, aiming to make visible both spatial exclusion and the risks of green gentrification. By combining theoretical depth with empirical observation, she aims to contribute to the equitable, accessible and inclusive urban planning.
