Biography

Currently serving as a Digital Transformation Data Scientist at Cardiff University's, Mouhamad provides professional advice on data science, data management and AI procedures, contributing to the institution's performance and its role in translating research into practical applications and project successes. 

Mouhamad's previous role as a Data Scientist at Medicines Discovery Catapult saw him innovating in data mining from unstructured medical sources and developing a novel deep learning pipeline for automatic pathways extraction, significantly reducing manual annotation efforts. His work in AI-assisted lead optimization and drug repurposing in oncology through virtual screening has been particularly impactful in the field of chemo-informatics.
