Dr Vogy Buanaputra
Lecturer in Accounting
- Available for postgraduate supervision
Overview
I am a Lecturer in Accounting at Cardiff Business School. Before joining Cardiff University, I served at Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia. Additionally, I am a visiting fellow at the University of Essex. With over ten years of teaching experience in the UK and Indonesia, I have also collaborated closely with numerous private and public institutions in Indonesia as an expert advisor. My research is primarily qualitative and is informed by social theories. My main areas of interest include public sector accounting, public budgeting, and public administration, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches.
I have published my work in several reputable international journals in the fields of accounting and public administration. These include the Accounting Forum (ABS 3 star), Public Administration (ABS 4 star), Cogent Business and Management (Scimago/Scopus Q2), and the Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change (ABS 2 star - Scimago/Scopus Q2). Additionally, some of my research has been utilized as a reference for policy formulation in Indonesia at both local and national levels, contributing to documents such as the Indonesian Public Sector Governance Guidance and Cooperative Governance Guidance. I have collaborated closely with the Indonesian Governance Policy National Committee (Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governansi - KNKG) to develop this governance guidance.
I am eager to supervise PhD students in the areas of public sector accounting, public management, and public administration, particularly within the context of emerging economies.
