Overview
I am a PhD student studying plant molecular biology, in particular trying to unravel the cell type specificity of cyclin D action in the root stem cell niche in Arabidopsis thaliana. I am studying the network controlling CYCD6;1, a protein which lacks common motifs of other cyclin Ds in plants. I want to understand how CYCD6;1 action works, how it is activate and its relationship with RBR.
This project is funded by the School of Biosciences, with supervision by Professor Jim Murray, Dr Veronica Grieneisen and Professor Ben Scheres.
