Overview
I am the Head of Practice at JOMEC and Course Director of the post graduate Broadcast Journalism MA course.
As a former Head of BBC Radio Wales and programmes Editor at BBC Radio 5 Live, I have more than twenty years’ experience as a senior manager in news and current affairs in the broadcast industry.
I also have experience of documentary programme making including a prime time TV documentary for BBC One Wales on the rugby legend Jonathan Davies and an hour long documentary with the former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith for BBC Radio 5 Live. After leaving the BBC I worked for indie companies in London and Cardiff, and training organisations and individuals in media, creativity and communications.
Before joining the post graduate team I was responsible for setting up the Welsh language provision on the BA undergraduate programme.
