Teaching

I teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the School of Healthcare. My undergraduate teaching focuses on person-centred care, record-keeping, and professional and ethical values within the role of the nurse. I have a focus on community public health and child development as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor). I have an interest in global health challenges and vulnerable groups in healthcare. In postgraduate studies, I support teaching on epidemiology, public health policy, complex decision-making, leadership and end-of-life care. I have an interest in pedagogical learning, and I teach on the facilitating, learning and teaching course.

I hold the role of Staff Student Academic Coordinator, working closely with healthcare student representatives across the school, college and university to promote and support the student voice.
