Overview

I am a PhD student at Cardiff University as part of Cohort 1 of the NERC Red-ALERT Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). My PhD project investigates how multiple stressors, such as rising temperatures and heavy metal contamination, impact the performance and ecosystem service provisioning of freshwater invertebrates in South Wales rivers. Through a combination of field sampling, experimental assays, and environmental modelling, I aim to identify vulnerable species and assess how stressor interactions may alter community structure and ecosystem functioning.
