Overview
I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Centre for Trials Research, a UKCRC-registered clinical trials unit. I develop processes and support staff in delivering high-quality research, and am particularly engaged in the use of automation and AI to improve our delivery. I am keen on researcher development, engagement, and supporting those with barriers to access - both to joining our workforce and our research.
I have delivered several Research Culture Fund projects at Cardiff, and am a member of the PS/Tech cohort of the Cynnau/Ignite programme. I continue to look for opportunities to improve our culture at the Centre and in the broader University, and am always open to collaborations or discussions with like-minded colleagues.
I have previously worked as a research assistant at Cardiff, and my research interests lie in healthcare sciences, primarily in fatigue and digital interventions. I am an active ethics reviewer, and have previously sat on IAA and Civic Mission funding panels. I am a lived experience contributor away from work, and a current reviewer for Health and Care Research Wales' funding schemes.
