Overview

School Manager and Head of Cardiff Business School's Professional Services

Following a career as a PhD researcher in semiconductor physics, and a period working within the UK Intellectual Property Office, Andrew first joined the Business School as the manager of an ESPRC funded multi-disciplinary research centre in 2003 after previously working within University's central research development and technology transfer team.

Andrew became School Manager in 2005 and has served in this evolving and developing role since, with the exception of a year spent on secondment as Acting AHSS College Registrar, helping to establish a new College structure at the University.

Andrew leads a team of 80 professional services staff encompassing the areas of student experience, student cases, programme support, quality assurance & accreditation, timetabling and teaching planning, recruitment & admissions, facilities, research, impact & engagement support, HR administration, equality, diversity & inclusion, academic support and the School Office.

Andrew is a member of the Business School's Management Board and AHSS College's Operations Board and plays a key role as a bridge and advocate working between the School, the College and the University in managing services delivered to the Business School by PS teams across the University.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
