Overview
I hold an MEng in Mechanical Engineering (incl MSc in Industrial Management) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Business Analysis and Management (hons) from Loughborough University, and a PhD in operations management from the Management Science Laboratory of Athens University of Business and Economics.
My research and teaching interests revolve around forecasting and inventory control with a focus on the operations management side of the Circular Economy, (forward and) reverse supply chains, simulation, and optimisation.
Prior to my current role, I have been employed as a Research Associate with ASTUTE (first on 2014 and then again on a followup project in 2019), working on numerous projects with industry around forecasting and inventory control optimisation applications. In between, I successfully applied for and then was employed in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership on remanufacturing operations co-funded by the EPSRC, Innovate UK, and the company partner. Both projects won the Cardiff University Innovation and Impact award in the Business Innovation category (in 2015 and 2019 respectively). Since 2020, I have been employed as the PARC Assistant Professor of Manufacturing and Logistics. Throughout this time I have worked closely with industry in numerous projects, advised, supervised and created a number of bespoke forecasting and inventory control solutions and applications for both linear and circular economy operations. Information on some of these and other projects can be found here.
