Overview
I am a Clinical Reader in the Centre for Medical Education, School of Medicine, and a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Cardiff and Vale UHB. I am Programme Lead for Undergraduate Taught Courses in the Medical School, including Medicine (MBBCh). I provide strategic and operational leadership for our undergraduate programmes, working with academic and professional services colleagues to deliver a high-quality, quality-assured educational experience for students. I am very proud to be a ‘Cardiff Med’, having trained here myself.
I continue to really enjoy my clinical work as an endoscopist. Throughout my career, I have held several senior leadership roles in Gastroenterology within my hospital, Health Board and at national level. I have published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored a textbook for undergraduate medical students, contributed to guidelines and supervised many projects.
