Teams and roles for Konstantinos Grigoratos
School Planning Officer
Overview
Konstantinos ( Dinos ) Grigoratos is the Strategic Planning Officer for Cardiff University’s School of Medicine. Reporting to the Deanery leadership, Dinos leads the School-wide Open Access team, introducing dashboards and Excel/Power Automate tools that cut monthly compliance checks from a full day to just a few minutes. He also supports the Workload Allocation Model project and creates road-maps and visualisation videos, methods that were used in the University’s Y Sgwrs Fawr - The Big Conversation planning round.
Earlier in his career, Dinos helped bridge leadership and frontline teams by launching the Division of Cancer & Genetics’ first video newsletters and mentoring colleagues in video editing and storytelling. As Transition Officer in Research & Innovation Services, he led the transition following the closure of the RDIM programme, migrating the University’s research-portal PDF guides to an accessible, video-rich repository in time for REF 2021.
A committed champion of equality, diversity and inclusion, he is the School’s Operations Project Manager for EDI, curates the evidence base for its Athena SWAN Silver Award application, and has completed the University of Michigan’s Leading for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education online programme. His infographics turn policy data into compelling visuals that guide curriculum reviews and staff development.
Beyond the campus, Dinos was selected by the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the first Honorary Consul of Greece appointed to Wales in more than 50 years—a post that makes him Head of the Hellenic Republic’s representation for Wales, accredited by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and governed by the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. In this capacity, he officially develops educational, scientific, cultural, economic and commercial relations between Greece and Wales, promoting trade, technology partnerships and bilateral investment.
With the support and values of Cardiff University’s Civic Mission, Dinos began as a governor and later became Chair of Trustees, steering the 40-year-old Greek School of Wales through its transition into the registered charity Hellenic Centre of Wales—a transformation celebrated for its civic-mission impact.
Across every role, Dinos blends strategic vision with practical delivery, supported by his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training, helping teams see the bigger picture and giving them the digital tools to act.
