Overview
I work as a clinical lecturer in special care dentistry, supervising students on the Dental Education Clinic as well as the Sedation and Special care teaching block, and am the topic lead for Sedation and Special Care topic.

Teaching
I lead the Special Care Dentistry and Sedation topic, providing teaching on the topic for students on the BDS, Dip Hyg and BSc Dental Therapy courses. In addition, I provide teaching as part of the Professionalism, Preparing for Practice and Human diseases topics. I provide clinical hands on teaching on phantom head as well as on the adult dental education clinics.
I am the lead for the Year 2 Clinical Practice paper, and regularly engage with OSCE, written, and Viva assessments.
Biography
I completed my undergraduate studies at Cardiff University, gaining my BDS (Hons) in 2019. Following this, I have worked across South Wales and in the East Midlands, before returning to Cardiff.
I have completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow. I also completed a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education through Cardiff University, which granted me Fellowship with Advance HE. In 2024 I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in conscious sedation for dentistry at King's College London, graduating with distinction.
In 2025 I began untertaking my PhD researching the use of Shared Decision Making for people with learning disabilities, as part of the Improving Dentistry Research Group.
My first language is Welsh, and I am always happy to communicate with staff or students in Welsh.
