Overview
Elaine Haigh is a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity, with a focus on co-creation and developing student employability through the development of academic, technical and personal skills. She has successfully embedded the Worldskills cybersecurity competition to raise achievement among her students, and has supported the cybersecurity network among FE colleges in Wales, acting as a CyberFirst Ambassador and supporting Cisco Cybercamps for Girls.
Elaine began her career with a degree in Computing from the University of Glamorgan, progressing to a Master's degree in Advanced Information Systems. Following this, Elaine gained over ten years’ experience working in Utilities billing software for a number of years, following which Elaine turned her attention to teaching computing subjects and has since focussed on all aspects of Cyber security.
