Teams and roles for Hamandi Khalid
Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer
Overview
I am a Consultant Neurologist, specialising in Epilepsy, with research interests in brain imaging, neurophsyiology and clinical aspects of epilepsy.
I undertake research into imaging and neurophsyiological markers, using advanced MRI and MEG/EEG, to better understand disordered brain structure and function that causes epileptic seizures, and as a means to improve surgical and non-surgical treatment targets, outcomes and prognosis.
I am NHS clinical lead for CUBRIC (Cardiff University Brain Imaging Research Centre), and lecture on the Cardiff University Neuroimaging:Methods and Applications (MSc).
