Overview

I am responsible for Cardiff University's training and assessment for the Police Station Accreditation Scheme and Magistrates' Court Qualification.  I also assess on the Bar Training Course (BTC) specialising in Criminal Litigation Evidence and Sentencing, Conference Skills and Advocacy.  I am an ATC accredited advocacy tutor.  I also organise placements for the LPC/SQE course and the BTC.  I am the Seren lead for the Law School.

Prior to joining the University, I worked in private practice in Cardiff.  Upon qualification I practised both civil and criminal litigation but as time passed I specialised in criminal litigation.  I became a duty solicitor in 1998.  Immediately before joining the University I was a Senior Crown Prosecutor in Cardiff with the Crown Prosecution Service.
