Overview
My roles at Cardiff University include a Lecturer on the Bar Training Course (BTC) specialising in Criminal Litigation, Evidence and Sentencing, Conference Skills, Advocacy and Criminal Practice. I am also responsible for Cardiff University's Police Station Accreditation Scheme and Magistrates' Court Qualification. I am an ATC accredited advocacy tutor.
Prior to joining the University, I worked in private practice in Cardiff. Upon qualification I practised both civil and criminal litigation but as time passed I specialised in criminal litigation. I became a duty solicitor in 1998. Immediately before joining the University I was a Senior Crown Prosecutor in Cardiff with the Crown Prosecution Service.
