Overview
I am a Lecturer in German Studies at the School of Modern Languages.
Over the years, I taught across the full range of the German undergraduate language modules as well as the languages for all programme and the part-time courses for adults. I am currently module leader for the German Beginner Language Module, the German Ex-Beginner Language Module and the German Final Year Language Module.
I am also Year Abroad Co-ordinator for German (a role that I share with my colleague Conny Opitz) and I am currently the academic lead for Student Voice at the School of Modern Languages.
Before coming to the UK, I've lived and worked in Germany, Spain and Italy, where I taught German at all levels in a variety of contexts (university, private language schools, companies, online) and during my time in the UK, I was a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) lecturer at Lancaster University for 2 years, before reurning to Cardiff University.
