Overview

Andrew's research combines AI and cybersecurity and includes working as PI or Lead Engineer on GCHQ-funded projects building AI-based synthetic environments and user simulators, FCDO research on smart cities/digital twins, non-linear pattern of life modelling/visualisation and anomaly detection, EU/NATO-funded projects on detecting and combating cyber crime, UK MoD research on automated defence and identifying insider threats, DSTL funded research on blockchain storage, Northrup Grumman funded work on using Random Matrices for anonomly detection, UKRI-funded research on the protection of critical national infrastructure, and NCSC funded research on automated defence strategies.

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in Cyber, AI and Telecoms/Networking, holding roles in research, technology scouting & acquisition assessment, content development, and security toolkitting at Orange, Thales, France Telecom, NTL/Virgin and multiple startups. In addition to his technical career, he has also spent 18 months as a Youth Offending Officer.
