Overview
I am a PhD researcher in archaeology working on the study of a large animal bone assemblage from the early medieval site at Llanbedrgoch, Anglesey. My project aims to expand our understandings of farming practices and human-animal interactions in the north Wales/Irish Sea region during the early medieval period. This is a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
I am also passionate about publich outreach and engagement. I have been involved with a number of events and projects including acting as a Postgraduate Coordinator for the SHARE with Schools programme from 2021-2024, and co-organising the headline event (Archaeo-Animal Art) for the Cardiff Hub Being Human Festival 2023.
