Overview
Currently, I enjoy teaching undergraduate dental students as a part time clinical lecturer in Primary Care Dentistry, teaching clinical skills and on the clinic and I have been in this post since November 2008.
Research
My dissertation for the MSc In Medical Education was on researching how dental students learn about compassion, altruism and empathy and consisted of six focus groups interviews with dental students at Cardiff University.
I have been a part of the Clinical Skills Special Interest Group which started at ADEE in Szeged and has been undertaking a pan-European research on skills teaching
Teaching
I currently demonstrate and supervise second year dental students on preparing for practice in the phantom head laboratory, and and at times I supervise third, fourth and fifth year undergraduate dental students on the dental education clinics.
