Biography
My career in education spans over 20 years of experience working within compulsory education as a classroom practitioner, and senior leader and developing curriculum resources for the Welsh government for the primary sector. I was fortunate enough to serve a diverse community in Cardiff, working with students from over 35 different countries and speaking various languages with varying levels of acquisition. As a senior leader, I developed and facilitated challenging extremism curriculum and training across Wales for practitioners and local authorities within inclusion and equitable practice.
I have been fortunate in my career to partner with international educational contexts such as Norway, Bangladesh, and Bratislava, where I gained a global perspective of educational pedagogy and its implications for my practice. These experiences ignited a passion and led me to develop my understanding and practices within the broader view of inclusive education.
I recently joined the Learning and Teaching Academy in 2023 as an Education Developer for the Inclusive Education Project. I support schools through training and developing resources on inclusive practice alongside embarking on my fellowship journey within Higher Education.
