Research

My research interests are related to modeling of power system components, such as  transmission towers, overhead transmission lines, underground cables, grounding systems. Furthermore,  I also investigate various methods to compute electromagnetic transients in electrical power systems under disturbances (lightning strikes, switching maneuver).

Teaching

Post-graduation courses at University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil from 2020-23.

Biography

I received the B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus of Ilha Solteira, Brazil, in 2012, 2014, and 2018 respectively, with granted fellowships by São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).  During this period, I completed two research internships (in 2014 and 2016) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Behzad Kordi at the University of Manitoba (UofM, Canada) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with fellowships granted by the Research Internships Abroad Program (BEPE/FAPESP). I worked as a postdoctoral researcher and research collaborator at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC)-University of Campinas (Unicamp) at the High Voltage Laboratory from 2019-23 with a fellowship granted by FAPESP. Currently I am a research associate at the High Voltage Lab.- Cardiff University-UK.
