Overview
I am a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Psychological medicine and Clinical Neuroscience at Cardiff University as part of the LINC consortium. My current work focuses on exploring the genetic architecture underlying physical and mental multimorbidity.
I have studied medicine followed by a MSc in neuroscience with a specialisation in psychiatric genetics. I completed my Wellcome Trust funded PhD “exploring sub-phenotype variation in Alzheimer’s disease” at the Dementia Research Institute.
I am experienced in working with large scale genomic and phenotypic data as well as electronic healthcare records and have expertise in multiple statistical methods including polygenic risk scoring, genomic structural equation modelling and principal component analysis. My research interests lie in the intersection of statistics, genomics and epidemiology and I am particularly interested in the genetic basis of psychiatric disorders.
