Overview
Maria qualified as a solicitor with Leo Abse & Cohen in Cardiff and subsequently worked at Beor, Wilson & Lloyd in Swansea and Thompsons in Cardiff. She joined the Centre for Professional Legal Studies in 2015 having previously taught for a number of years at the University of South Wales on the Legal Practice Course, Graduate Diploma in Law and LLB.
She is currently the subject leader for Practical Legal Research and the Personal Injury elective on the LPC and also teaches Criminal Litigation. In addition to this, she teaches Tort on the GDL and Evidence on the LLB.
Maria is Chair of the Extenuating Circumstances Group in CPLS.
Maria has been an external examiner at the University of Law, Plymouth University, Huddersfield University and Swansea University.
