Overview

I am a postdoctoral research associate in Astronomy at the School of Physics & Astronomy. My research focusses on studying various aspects of galaxy formation and evolution using cosmological hydrodynamical simulations. In particular, I study the flow of gas and metals through the circumgalactic medium (CGM) surrounding galaxies. I also study molecular gas and its tracers using numerical simulations.

Biography

I joined Cardiff University as a postdoctoral research associate in June 2025. Before this, I finished my PhD at the University of Bonn with the thesis titled Modelling molecular gas and its tracers across cosmic time. For my master's thesis in Astronomy, I worked on phase correlations in the large-scale structure of the Universe at the University of Bonn. Prior to this, I obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
