Biography
I am a Ph.D. Student in Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University under the supervision of Prof. Hantao Liu and Dr. Katarzyna Stawarz.
Before that, I obtained my M.S. and B.S. degrees from the School of Information and Control Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology in 2022 and 2019, respectively, advised by Prof. Shiyin Li and Dr. Yuan Yang. I used to be a visiting student at Arizona State University (2019) and a research assistant at Southeast University (2020).
My research interests primarily lie in image quality assessment, action quality assessment and saliency prediction. I also have a research background in smart buildings and wireless sensing. I am a reviewer for IEEE TCSVT, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE Signal Processing Letters and Neurocomputing.

Research
Research Interests
My research focuses on image quality assessment, action quality assessment, and saliency prediction, all of which play a critical role in advancing computer vision and machine learning applications. These areas involve evaluating visual content quality, analyzing human actions for performance assessment, and predicting where viewers focus their attention in images and videos.
Current Projects
- Action Quality Assessment: Developing AI-driven models to evaluate the performance of athletes and professionals in sports and healthcare scenarios.
- Image Quality Assessment: Designing automated methods to assess the perceptual quality of images, crucial for applications in photography, surveillance, and medical imaging.
- Saliency Prediction: Creating models that predict visual attention patterns to improve content design and interaction.
