Overview
I am a Research Associate at CASCADE, currently working on parent advocacy in child protection.
Originally from Pembrokeshire, I moved to Cardiff to study English Literature at Cardiff University. After graduating, I worked in housing in Cardiff Council before winning ESRC Open Competition funding for an MA and PhD in Language and Communication Research. My thesis examined the discourse of UK-based charitable giving, in focus group and mass media data.
Since my PhD, I have worked on several research projects, including the Welsh Basic Income Pilot evaluation. I worked in the Civil Service from 2018-2021.
