Kayleigh McLeod

Biography

Since 2018, Kayleigh has devised and led the communications for two multi-million-pound media innovation programmes based within the Centre for the Creative Economy at Cardiff University - Media Cymru (2022 – 2026) which aims to supercharge media innovation, and screen sector R&D programme Clwstwr (2018 – 2023). Previously, she led communications and engagement for the network for creative professionals, Creative Cardiff and hosted their podcast, Get A Proper Job.

For the past decade, Kayleigh has been a keen advocate for the economic, cultural and social value of the creative industries in Wales and the importance of collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing to a thriving creative economy for all.

Specialising in communications strategy, stakeholder engagement and digital content creation, Kayleigh has a proven track record of delivering organic growth and brand awareness across multiple platforms through creative messaging and authentic storytelling.

Before working in public relations, Kayleigh was an online and on-screen journalist for Scottish broadcaster STV. Kayleigh holds a Professional PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and CIPR Cymru award winner.
