Overview
My research interests include the ocular surface response to environmental factors, cosmetics, contact lenses, dry eye disease, nutrition, and corneal neuropathic pain. Since 2014, I have worked with international collaborators on industry-funded clinical trials for marketed and investigational medical devices, drugs, and natural health products. Over the past three years, I have been Lead Investigator for 22 clinical research studies involving novel treatments for dry eye disease, contact lenses correcting a variety of visual requirements (spherical, toric, multifocal and myopia control contact lenses), and tear fluid characteristics.
As an optometrist with a commitment to teaching and delivering evidence-based care, I also deliver continuing professional development lectures, webinars, and podcasts, covering a broad range of topics related to the anterior eye and ocular surface in Canada, USA, the Netherlands, and the UK.
